DIY Fixing broken Canon PowerShoot Elph Camera lens after being dropped on concrete

After only having my Elpg 100HS for 5 days I dropped it on concrete with the lens open. Dang! The lens got bent and stuck in the open position. Amazing I was able to force/bend it back and now it works again. Following this advice may fix your if you break the lens in a similar fashion.
